Seeing Santa

I've been putting off seeing Santa until we all could get healty enough to not look sick. Well we went yesterday. Emma loved seeing Santa. He was so wonderful. He talked to her, and told her the Night Before Christmas story. He was such a sweet Santa! Maggie liked him as long as I was holding her, but as you can see, when I sat her down, she screamed! She did like the candy cane he gave her.

Cookie Making

We went over to Mom's (AKA Nanny) yesterday to make Santa some Christmas Cookies. The girls had a blast! The definitely had tooooooo much sugar! But they had fun! Emma loved squeezing the frosting on, and Maggie loved shaking on the sprinkles. Needless to say, there were sprinkles everywhere!

Hershel

Daddy got an early Christmas gift last Friday. We got a new English Bulldog Puppy! His name is Hershel (as in Hershel Walker). So far he is a great dog. A little fiesty! But he is great. He actually slept all night last night, which was very much needed on my part! The girls love him, as does Matt.

Stone Mountain

Wow, it has been forever since i've been on here. On Friday Dec.5th I loaded up the girls and the camper and headed down to Stone Mountain. My Mom, Doug, Beth and Sidney all came later that day. We were going to camp for the weekend and go to Stone Mountain Park while there and see all of the Christmas stuff.  Well, It was sooooo cold! Maggie and Emma both weren't feeling that great. Turns out they had sinus infections (found out on Monday the 8th when I took them to the doctor).

But, we did manage to have fun. The train ride was a lot of fun! The skylift, not so much!!! I was a nervous wreck the entire time on top of that mountain!!! I was very happy when we went inside to eat. But was even more happy to be back at the bottom!!!

All Emma wanted to do was make a cookie! They had little sugar cookies the kids could decorate with frosting and sprinkles. She loved that! Sidney did too! He did his happy dance while eating his!

It was a lot of fun, but we were all ready to come home on Sunday. I think we've decided we won't be doing anymore camping in cold weather until the girls are older and can handle it a little better.

Here's some pictures:

Missing Kitty

We came home from "Granny and Pop's" and went out back to say goodnight to Flower, only to discover she is gone. Either she's been hurt or eatin, lord I hope not, or she's just found a toasty place to spend the night. I really hope she returns in the morning. I'm afraid Emma's little heart is going to be broken if she doesn't come home.

Thanksgiving

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. My camera is dead, like fried chicken dead, and I completely forgot to charge it, so no Thanksgiving pictures. Sorry. We've alread been to Mom's (aka Nanny and Grandpa's) for lunch. It was so good, and of course we hate too much. Mom's cat had kittens awhile back, and of course Emma had to have one. She picked out the black and white female kitty and named her flower. Poor cat, she carries around under it's arms, and the cat looks like a ragdoll. When the camera is charged I will get a picture. We fixed her a bed out back, and she's out their meowing. Emma and Maggie are taking naps, as well as Daddy. And in a little while we will be heading over to The Bearden's for Dinner. So much food, so little time!!!

Back in October Matt and I took the girls to Burts Pumpkin Farm about 5 miles down the road from us. It is the "must see" or "must do" in North Georgia in the Fall. We had a great time. We weren't there very long. As soon as we pulled up there were 3 buses, so we got tickets for the hayride, and got on one before the swarms of children could decend upon us. The girls loved that. But I can't decide if they liked the popcorn during the hayride (at 10am I might add) or the actual hayride.

After the hayride we went on to pick out pumpkins. We had to pick out a Big pumpkin for Daddy, a smaller one for Mommy, and even smaller one for Emma...well you get the picture.

After we were done picking out pumpkins we headed home for some lunch. After the girls got to paint their itty bitty pumpkins.

Trying Something New

I know many people have been "blogging" for sometime. I, for one, never saw the appeal. I have my email account, my facebook account, and i'm seen quit frequently at www.teritodaymessageboard.com. But I realized that a lot of our family were not on Facebook, so I decided maybe this would be a great way for family and friends to see how our day to day lives work, and what we are up to. I also thought this would be a perfect way for everyone to stay up to date on what's new with the girls, being that they are growing like weeds. So, I ask that you bear with me as a figure out how to post, how often to post,  and how to post pictures. I hope everyone is doing well.
