Hershel

Hershel tuckered out after Christmas Morning.

He's trying to figure out how to use the booster seat to climb onto the couch.

For some reason he likes the Roomba. He ends up turning it on and will chase it!

His favorite place to sleep was under the tree.

Christmas

Well, Needless to say this holiday season has been Crazy Busy!!! I think we are finally getting back to normal around here! We had Christmas at Papa and Tutu's (my dad and stepmom) and couple days early. We ate so much and it was so yummy. Then the kids got to open their presents. Emma and Maggie both got Carhart Overalls, which is great cause they can use them while playing outside, or while camping, which we've been doing a lot of. Emma also got her Swim Baby she has been wanting for months! She was very excited about her Swim Baby.

Maggie also got a ride on poney, but she was very excited about her overalls. This is her saying "cheese" but it comes out "AAAAAHHHH"

Christmas Eve was first spent at Nanny and Grandpa's (my mom and stepdad). Again, we as a fabulous meal, and too much of it! The kids got to open their gifts. Emma got My Little Ponies, one of which was a really cool Scooter! And Maggie got a Baby and a V-Tech toy. She loves that darn baby. She's been feeding it, giving it her juice, and tucking her in at night.

Then came Christmas Morning at our house. We recorded them getting the gifts from Santa, so I don't have pictures of that. These are pictures of the girls opening gifts from Granny and Pop (Matt's parents) when they came by.  They stayed and at Christmas Lunch with us. By the end of the day Mommy and Daddy were exhausted!!!!

Things are getting back to normal around here. The decorations are all put up. The laundry is finally getting caught up. And I'm trying to keep everything in order so I don't have to do it all before Matt and I leave on our cruise. We're going with two of our close friends on The Rock Boat. It's a cruise with different bands on board and it's 5 days of concerts and ports of call. We're going to the Bahamas. Matt and I are both ready for this much needed vacation!

Seeing Santa

I've been putting off seeing Santa until we all could get healty enough to not look sick. Well we went yesterday. Emma loved seeing Santa. He was so wonderful. He talked to her, and told her the Night Before Christmas story. He was such a sweet Santa! Maggie liked him as long as I was holding her, but as you can see, when I sat her down, she screamed! She did like the candy cane he gave her.

Cookie Making

We went over to Mom's (AKA Nanny) yesterday to make Santa some Christmas Cookies. The girls had a blast! The definitely had tooooooo much sugar! But they had fun! Emma loved squeezing the frosting on, and Maggie loved shaking on the sprinkles. Needless to say, there were sprinkles everywhere!

Hershel

Daddy got an early Christmas gift last Friday. We got a new English Bulldog Puppy! His name is Hershel (as in Hershel Walker). So far he is a great dog. A little fiesty! But he is great. He actually slept all night last night, which was very much needed on my part! The girls love him, as does Matt.

Stone Mountain

Wow, it has been forever since i've been on here. On Friday Dec.5th I loaded up the girls and the camper and headed down to Stone Mountain. My Mom, Doug, Beth and Sidney all came later that day. We were going to camp for the weekend and go to Stone Mountain Park while there and see all of the Christmas stuff.  Well, It was sooooo cold! Maggie and Emma both weren't feeling that great. Turns out they had sinus infections (found out on Monday the 8th when I took them to the doctor).

But, we did manage to have fun. The train ride was a lot of fun! The skylift, not so much!!! I was a nervous wreck the entire time on top of that mountain!!! I was very happy when we went inside to eat. But was even more happy to be back at the bottom!!!

All Emma wanted to do was make a cookie! They had little sugar cookies the kids could decorate with frosting and sprinkles. She loved that! Sidney did too! He did his happy dance while eating his!

It was a lot of fun, but we were all ready to come home on Sunday. I think we've decided we won't be doing anymore camping in cold weather until the girls are older and can handle it a little better.

Here's some pictures:

Missing Kitty

We came home from "Granny and Pop's" and went out back to say goodnight to Flower, only to discover she is gone. Either she's been hurt or eatin, lord I hope not, or she's just found a toasty place to spend the night. I really hope she returns in the morning. I'm afraid Emma's little heart is going to be broken if she doesn't come home.
